London
London in my home. I don't have a garden so love to go to Regent's Park with my family.
I used to love this bike!
Essex
I feel happy when looking at this old photo of me. It brings back so many good memories of childhood! I would spend hours outside in my neighborhood having fun without all of the responsibilities I now have! I guess home to me had a feeling of security. It is my safe space!
Childhood toy
Luton
I have loved in many different homes as an adult but there's really only one place I truly think of as "home" - my home as a child. This was my favourite toy as a young girl and I take it with me to every new home. It reminds me of my parents home.
Family photos
Abergavenny
This wall of family photographs is my favourite. Each picture captures memories of family, both present and past, reminding me of where I come from and what defines my sense of home.
My garden and plants
Leeds
Home to me means tending to my plants and watching my garden thrive. It’s my piece of nature.
Benji
Brighton and Hove
This is my dog Benji. I chose it as I always look forward to coming home knowing he will be greeting me at the door!
London will always be home to me
London
I feel I belong in London and that it was always meant to be my home. It has my community, my family and friends and access to everything I could ever need. I will never be tired of walking its streets and discovering new views and things to see and do.
Our home
Southampton
My daughter made this to show our home. This is our safe space. As long as we are together we are at home.
Grandmothers home made curry
Totnes
This is a traditional Hilsa (fish) curry and is my favourite food. It reminds me of home as my grandmother used to make the best one. Even though I can make it here in my new home it is not the same and I hope to one day cook as good as my gransmother.
A quiet place by the sea.
London
I feel at home when I am in a quiet place near the sea and in nature. It is where my mind gets a break and my body breaths deeply. My physical home can be stressful andso full of things to do. I relax, feel most alive and connected when by the sea. It means I can travel and be anywhere which I love.
Returning Home Again
London
A view through trees of the valley. A railroad that connects us. A destination out of sight, it can take us to new lands and it will bring us home again. There is music within these hills. The light golden, the sky vast, the colours varied and vivid. The end of a long walk or just the beginning?
Home as place
London
The unexpectness of chance views in the city where different elements coexist and how it makes me feel at home. It is always changing and this reminds me that things change and nothing is permanent. The sense of home can change to according to where we are and who we are with. It is not fixed.
